Conte is the best Coach in Italy, He has demonstrated that for the past few years. Conte has worked hard to recreate that winning mentality that left the team a few years back.

Ketika hampir semua kompatriotnya kembali ke Vinovo untuk berlatih setelah libur Natal yang diberikan pihak klub, Carlos Tevez tampaknya harus menunda jadwal kembalinya ke Torino. Setelah menghabiskan waktu libur Natal untuk kembali ke Argentina, melalui situs resmi klub, Juve mengkonfirmasi bahwa striker yang baru direkrut pada awal musim ini akan terlambat kembali ke Torino karena masalah keluarga.

Banyak pihak berspekulasi, bahwa masalah keluarga yang dimaksud ialah perihal kondisi istrinya yang saat ini tengah mengandung 7 bulan dan memerlukan perawatan medis dalam minggu ini. Mengingat partai melawan Roma yang akan dihelat minggu ini, kemungkinan Tevez diragukan untuk mentas saat melawan Roma.

Diskriminasi teritori yang marak terjadi belakangan ini di tanah Italia tampaknya sangat sulit untuk dihentikan. Meskipun pihak Lega berulang kali memberikan sanksi terhadap beberapa kelompok suporter yang melakukan aksi diskriminasi teritori, namun upaya Lega untuk menghilangkan, atau setidaknya meminimalisir tindakan diskriminasi teritori menemui jalan buntu.

Merebaknya diskriminasi teritori di tanah Italia belakangan ini membuat kapten Juve dan timnas Italia, Gigi Buffon turut ambil bicara. Melalui surat kabar yang berbasis di Milano, Gazzetta dello Sport, Gigi memberikan suaranya terkait diskriminasi teritori.

Racism is an important issue, I believe that human beings strive to find the difference between themselves and another race. Or, if in Italy, themselves and a citizen of another region. I think that the comparison can help us fight it though.

I don’t think the fans are acting out of hatred – I just think the goal is to be heard and emphasize the dissent. I know the spirit in which they are made. I used to be one of those fans.

I think it’s fair to severely punish for some forms of intolerance. I do not presume to fully understand the kind of abuse some players get. I can’t have the same sensitivity to those who are affected by the attacks, but punishment is important for the image of Italian football.

Jeda enam hari yang diberikan klub banyak dimanfaatkan oleh para punggawa Juve untuk pulang ke kampung halamannya, tidak terkecuali Carlos Tevez. We are first in the standings, we wanted to win against Atalanta to keep posting and we succeeded.

Juve are team well equipped and very strong. I came into a team that was already winning and well prepared.

I’m very happy to be part of this group, we wanted to have this advantage in Serie A and we did it so far.

Tentang Boca Junior.

Signora1897 ers, minggu ini kita memasuki international week yang penting dimana tim-tim Eropa dan Amerika Selatan akan menjalani satu/dua laga terakhir dalam kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2014. Berikut adalah pemain-pemain Juve yang dipanggil oleh timnasnya masing-masing:

Untunglah, Italia telah lolos ke Brazil 2014 sehingga penulis berharap pemain-pemain Italia Juventus tidak terlalu diforsir oleh pelatih Cesare Prandelli. Namun, Isla dan Vidal harus bermain mati-matian mengingat Chile yang berada di peringkat ketiga masih bisa disalip oleh Ecuador dan Uruguay (dan kemungkinan kecil, Venezuela). Asamoah sendiri menjalani laga yang tidak kurang penting dimana Ghana telah memasuki babak playoff home and away melawan Egypt. Ghana menjadi tuan rumah lebih dulu dan hanya pemenang babak playoff-lah yang akan lolos ke Brazil 2014.

Beberapa pemain Juventus langganan timnas seperti Stephan Lichtsteiner, Martin Caceres, dan Mirko Vucinic tetap tinggal di Vinovo karena masih menjalani pemulihan dari cidera. Andrea Barzagli juga diistirahatkan supaya tendonnya yang bermasalah juga dapat pulih 100%. Angelo Ogbonna dan Fernando Llorente kali ini tidak dipanggil. Mengenai masa depannya:

“The fans of Juve are afraid of losing me? I am still not anyone. What have I done? Nothing in fact. I look to Pirlo and Buffon, and I know what it takes to be a true champion. Those two have won it all, they are greats, but they do not give an inch, even in training.

“Juve for life? Certain promises do not make sense, I will not kid anyone. How can I today determine my whole career? It makes no sense. And then I look at now and say that I am happy here in Turin, I love everything about this club – the managers, the Coaches, my teammates and the fans. And at the moment I do not see myself anywhere that isn’t Juventus.”

Mengapa Pogba memilih Liga Italia?

“Why did I choose Italy? Serie A is the university of football, especially at a tactical level. A midfielder who breaks through in Italy can really aspire to be the best in the world in his position. I said to myself: ‘Paul, Italy is the shortcut to a more secure breakthrough’. And then, of course, was the call of Juventus, one of the biggest clubs in the world… I am lucky and I lucked into Antonio Conte. I’m getting better every day. Conte works, hammers, he is not satisfied, hungry, and just wants to win. I could not ask for anything better as a teacher at this stage of my career. [France Coach Didier] Deschamps is also very similar to Conte.”

Idola dan pemain-pemain yang menjadi referensinya:

“From the start my idol was Ricky Kaka, whilst I have modelled myself on two players – Yaya Toure and Abou Diaby, even in physical aspects. I am very similar to them. At Juve, Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal are my references. In each training session I try to steal something from them. One can reach perfection with the technique of Claudio, the aggressiveness of Arturo and the brilliant and clean movement of Andrea.”

Mengenai Liga Italia musim ini:

“I have seen on TV the Giallorossi in particular, I have watched them, they are very strong, they have great players, but if we find our football then no-one can stop us. What are we still not getting right? We concede too many goals, often for our distractions, something that should not exist when you have the best defence in the world. Yes we are as strong as ever for who we have, this is a question of something in general. And to me it is clear – we need the Juve of last year, the one that went into the field to tear apart opponents, who hit and frightened everyone right from the start, that did not slow up for 90 minutes. We must wake up and immediately find the correct mentality – enough gifts, as you pay in the long run. But, I believe that we have… Indeed, after the 20 minutes where we were in trouble against Milan, in the League it may prove to be the right spark, the turning point of our season.”

Pogba juga berbicara mengenai lawan Juve berikutnya di Champions League, Real Madrid.

“We must pick up points against Real Madrid. I am not worried, we will beat Real Madrid at least once and advance from the group. We are Juve, we must never forget that. The history, prestige and quality of this club is not inferior to anyone. And for this reason I am not scared of Real Madrid. Juve are at the level of the largest clubs in Europe. We can win against Madrid.”

Sebagai penutup, Pogba juga ditanya mengenai masalah rasisme di Italia.

“The word ‘negro’ is badly used a little everywhere – in Italy, France, England, Spain and even in Africa there are forms of racism. Often it is sheer ignorance of people saying things that they do not understand. In general, however, it must be given high attention. Of course it is crazy to be here to talk about certain things in 2013. In the future I would like to become someone more credible in the fight against racism.”

Selain Pogba, hari ini Marcello Lippi, mantan pelatih Juve yang melegenda, juga memberikan wawancara kepada Tuttosport.
